El
Servei de Meteorologia de Catalunya (SMC),a fi de millorar el coneixament de la
climatologia de Catalunya i les seves prediccions meteorològiques,ha considerat
oportú adquirir un nou equip de radiosondatge per tal de conèixer
amb més detall la variació de l'estat de l'atmosfera amb l'altura.
A
tal efecte l'SMC,després d'estudiar els possibles emplaçaments i
d'escoltar les opinions d'alguns dels millors especialistes en aquesta materia,ha
decidit instal.lar l'equip de radiosondatge a l'Observatori meteorològic
de Sort.Aquesta decisió s'ha pres atenent tant a la seva privilegiada situació
geogràfica com al fet que es tracta d'un dels observatoris meteorològics
més importants i complerts de Catalunya.RADIOSONDA Instrument
meteorològic destinat a l'estudi de les propietats de l'aire en altura.Essencialment
consisteix en un petit baròmetre aneroide (Bariocap),un termòmetre
bimetàl.lic i un higròmetre d'absorció.Tot això és
col.locat en una caixa protectora,però que permet el pas de l'aire a través
seu.La caixa conté,també,un petit transmissor de ràdio. Aquest
conjunt és subjectat a un globus meteorològic (baló sonda)
ple de gas heli que s'eleva i és transportat pel vent.Amb un receptor situat
a terra és possible de conèixer la pressió,la temperatura
i la humitat atmosfèrica.El vent en altura pot ésser determinat
observant el moviment del globus amb un teodolit.El model que ens ocupa porta
acoplat un GPS i es pot saber en tot moment la seva situació i, per tant,
el vent dominant.
La radiosonda fou inventada pel meteoròleg rus Molcanov
el 1928 i representà una revolució de gran importància en
el sistema de sondatge de l'aire en altura. RADIOSOUNDING STATION
OF THE METEOROLOGY SERVICE OF CATALONIA IN SORT The Servei de
Meteorologia de Catalunya (SMC) (Meteorology Service of Catalonia),to improve
the knowledge of the Catalan climatology and is meteorological predictions,has
thought it was the right moment to get a new radiosounding equipment to know more
in dedail the variation of the atmosphere state with the altitude.
For this,the
SMC,after studying the possible locations and to listen to the opinion of some
of the best specialists in this issue,has decided to install the radiosounding
equipment in the Observatori Meteorològic de Sort (Meteorological Observatori
of Sort).This decision has been taken given both the privileged geographical location
as well as the fact of that it is one of the most important and more completes
meteorological observatories of Catalonia. RADIOSOUNDING Meteorological
instrument for the study of the air properties in the altitude.Basically,it consists
of a little aneroid barometer (Bariocap),a bimetallic thermometer and an absorrption
hygrometer.All of this placed in a protection box that allows the air go throuhh.The
box also contains a little radio transmitter.All this conjunct is fixed to a meteorological
globe full of Helium gas that it goes up in the sky at the same time that it is
transported by the wind.With a receptor placed on the ground floor it is possible
to know the pressure,the temperature and the atmospherical humidity.The wind in
high altitudes can be determined watching the movement of the globe with a theodolit.The
model that we are talking about ,carries an associated GPS and it's possible to
know its situation anytime and thus,the dominant wind...
The radiosounding
ballon was invented by the Russian meteorologist Molcanov in 1928 and it represented
a great revolution in the air sound system in the altitude. THE RADIOSONDING
STATION OF SORT COULD BE OPERATIVE THIS COMING AUTUM.IT'S PLANNED TO DO RADIOSOUNDINGS
WHEN ITS RECQUIRED BY THE SITUATION AND IN SOME OF THE CASES IT WOULD BE MOBILE.
